Self-Portrait of a Beginning
A photograph in which I brought together the sea, my own shadow, and the red promenade on the coast of Rize.
This photograph is more than a self-portrait to me. It records the moment I discovered double exposure and truly held on to photography.
For the first time, I clearly felt that I could combine the separate details I noticed and preserve them as one aesthetic image. It did not merely feel like finding a new hobby; it felt like finding a new language in which I could express myself.
